Easy to Make Finger Foods for Labor Day Get-Togethers
The best part of a party is the company, but the special touch is the food. For your next Labor Day bash, you will want to provide your guests with delicious snacks. You can try new and creative finger foods that will delight your family and friends. Here are a few ideas that you can incorporate at your Labor Day gathering.
Watermelon Pizza
This bright and refreshing delicacy is made with mostly fruit. You will need a large watermelon, blueberries, sliced strawberries, raspberries, and pomegranate seeds. For your “cheese”, you will need sweet coconut or greek yogurt. Slice the watermelon down its middle to make large pizza-shaped pies. You can add all of the toppings, then cut it again into separate slices.
Stuffed Cucumber Bites
These are zesty and refreshing, and easy to make. You will need cucumbers, shrimp, and chopped vegetables. If you are vegan, you can replace the shrimp with veggies and add rice and largely cut veggies instead. Peel the cucumbers to remove all the skin, then slice the cucumber into 1 inch long sections. You will need to core the seeds out the center of the cucumber so that they are hollow. Next, season cooked shrimp, veggies, and rice however you like. Chill these items in the fridge, then when cool stuff the cucumbers with the sauteed shrimp and diced veggies or rice and chunky veggies.
Cranberry Pecan Goat Cheese Truffles
Delicious and easy to make, these truffles only require goat cheese, cranberries, and diced pecans. Take chunks of goat cheese and roll them into small balls between your fingers. Then, dip and roll the balls in a dish of cut cranberries and pecans. If you want them to be sweeter, you can consider adding honey as a topping and place toothpicks in them.
Baked Mozzarella Tomato Slices
Tomatoes are often added as a base, topping, or side, but never the main treat. Take large and firm medium-sized tomatoes and cut them down the center horizontally into sliced circles. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on them and place them on a baking sheet for the oven. Add fresh basil leaves to the mozzarella and bake until the cheese turns a golden color.
These mouth smackin’ treats will be a great addition to your Labor Day celebration. For more wonderful and unique ideas, contact In Full Bloom events for your next big holiday in Tampa, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and South Florida.
