Depending on your culture, vintage can mean anything. However, in the western tradition, you may be thinking of tuxedos, long satin dresses, pearls, emeralds, rubies, and other touches of class on valuable fabric. You can achieve that vintage look and incorporate your culture if you like, with lots of off-white, silk, and heavy crystal glass.

Overwhelming Gemstones

Add a few sparkles here and there throughout your event. For example, the bride can wear heavy diamond accessories, along with diamond earrings on bridesmaids. Big chunky emeralds, rubies, and pearls can be incorporated in bouquets. Large gemstones can be added to napkin holder clasps, picture frames, the guest book, and more. Hang dangling gems from centerpieces, bouquets, and decorative plants. If you love pearls, you can incorporate that. Use one large pearl on a napkin clasp, or line the guest book with pearls.

Include a Beautiful Chandelier

Nothing else says vintage and elegance like a chandelier. All special events in the old days always incorporated a beautiful glass chandelier as the centerpiece, but you can modernize it with a more streamlined look. Long tapered glass with an led candle instead of smaller gems can be used. Otherwise, go the whole mile and even add fire candles.

Dress the Part

You will want the ladies to wear elegant mulberry, tulle, charmeuse, cashmere, taffeta, and other silk fabrics. The men can wear refined tuxedos with a traditional bow tie. Girls will need thick and bold curls, along with red lipstick. The men can slick their hair back for a vintage look. The overall theme can be fun for adults and children.

Use heavy satin fabric with a soft ruffle pattern for your dining tables. For more creative ideas, contact In Full Bloom events in Tampa, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, or South Florida for a free consultation.
